We’re excited to announce the Ford Sayre Ski Sale! It’s not just a sale; it’s a celebration of all things snowy and a chance to score some fantastic gear while supporting a great cause.
Once again, we will host Both an informal Ski Swap on Saturday, November 2nd, AND our traditional Ski Sale on Sunday, November 3rd. Please look carefully below, for details regarding each event. 100% of the profits from our annual Ski Sale are used to fund Ford Sayre scholarships. If you can’t attend the Ski Sale, please consider making a donation to the scholarship fund.

DETAILS
It’s actually TWO events, in one weekend…
We will host a true “SWAP” on SATURDAY, from 11 am to 1:30 pm. Bartering is encouraged, as is trading skis, boots, poles and soft goods directly, or using currency of choice directly between buyers and sellers. The SWAP will be held in the parking lot that runs along the back, south corner of the school. All community members are welcome to bring their items to the swap. The Ford Sayre website is hosting a spreadsheet with a list that families can populate, describing the equipment that they have to trade or sell (or that they are “in search of”). We encourage you to take inventory of the gear that you will be bringing and to list it on the spreadsheet, this will make connecting buyers and sellers easier on the day of the event. Items that do not find a home during the SWAP can be consigned in Sunday’s Ski Sale OR donated to Ford Sayre. See below for info about consigning.
On SUNDAY, we will have our traditional “SKI SALE” from noon to 2:30 pm, which includes both consignment items, as well as gear and apparel from vendors (such as Suburban, First Stop, and Omer & Bobs – though this list is subject to change).
Equipment (and apparel) donations to Ford Sayre will be accepted on SATURDAY (which Ford Sayre may choose to sell or give away, at its discretion). The primary goal of this year’s swap is to get quality alpine and Nordic ski equipment out of the basement and into circulation. New and used ski gear is in short supply, which makes the SWAP & SALE especially important this year.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
There are many opportunities to help with the 2024 Ski Swap and Ski Sale. We need volunteers to help set up, to assist at the actual sale, and to provide clean-up support. As a perk, registered volunteers get to shop the sale early (from 2:30 to 4 pm, on Saturday)!
If you can contribute on either Saturday, November 2nd OR Sunday November 3rd, please sign up here:

CONSIGNMENT & DONATIONS
Do you have snow sports gear or apparel that you want to consign in Sunday’s Ski Sale? Or would you like to donate it so that we can turn your stuff into funds for Ford Sayre scholarships? We will accept items that are in good, clean condition, between 9:30 and 2:30 pm, on SATURDAY, at Richmond Middle School. For consigned items, Ford Sayre will take a percentage (one third) of every sale, to support the scholarship fund.
