- End of Year Banquet – Only 9 Days Away March 2, 2016
Dear 1-day a week parents,
What fun it was to spend the day with your children yesterday! The youngest children searched for the elusive SNOWFLAKE (letter stamps scattered throughout the fields and woods); and our older children were engaged in games of Capture the Flag and Soccer! As the season is nearing the end, I wanted to send a few notes and reminders.
BANQUET INFORMATION:
We will celebrate this wild and wacky season, our skiers, families, coaches, and other volunteers with our 2nd Annual Ford Sayre Nordic Banquet on Friday, March 11, from 6-7:30pm at the Black Recreation Center in Hanover. The Banquet is potluck style, with pizza ordered by Ford Sayre. We have put together a google doc for you to RSVP and sign up to bring food or help with various jobs (if you are able). NOTE that there are two tabs on the google doc!
We really hope that you’ll join us for this event! It is a wonderful way to connect with other families, and to celebrate the incredibly positive attitudes that your children brought to our brief skiing period… and numerous grassy and woodland adventures. It has truly been a pleasure to work with your children!
REMINDER: LAST DAY OF PRACTICE IS NEXT WEEK
Next Tuesday, March 8th is our last scheduled day of practice.
GOOD LUCK TO OUR BKL FESTIVAL SKIERS!
Our best wishes to those children heading to the BKL Festival this weekend. Over 40 children from Ford Sayre (including a handful from the 1-day program) will be heading to the Great Glen Ski Trails this weekend! If you didn’t get a chance to register, but still wanted to attend the Festival, there is a late registration option available here (until Thursday).
Best wishes,
