If you have a registered skier in a Grade 3-8 program for the 2016-2017 season, you were automatically subscribed to our new e-mail system and should have received an e-mail earlier this evening. The subject line read: Welcome to the 2016-2017 Ford Sayre Program. This e-mail & all future e-mails are archived on our website. Please check your inbox to confirm receipt. Many of you have already registered your children for cross-country skiing, but we expect this task remains on many “to do” lists. Click here to enroll now.

Registration deadlines: 

Registration for all 3rd-8th grade nordic programs closes on October 31st! Just 7 days away!

Registration for kindergarten to 2nd grade nordic programs closes on November 20th (register early to help us create our coaching rosters)!

Questions about our new program structure: 

As you likely know, our 3rd-8th grade program structure has changed this year. You can find a summary of our new structure here. Please let us know if you have any questions about the programs, schedule, equipment, or costs. All are welcome to come to our New Families Night on Thursday, November 3rd (5:30pm; Mayer Room, Howe Library, Hanover) to meet coaches, hear about the upcoming season, and ask questions.

Scholarship support is available: 

As a reminder, generous support from Ford Sayre donors allows us to make scholarships available, when support is needed. Ask us for more information, or visit our scholarships page!

Sell your old gear – or buy some great used equipment!

Our Ford Sayre nordic gear exchange is hopping this year – with inexpensive gear (skis, poles, boots, jackets, etc) and sometimes even FREE stuff!

So, take a look at what might fit your kids!

And – check your basement and garage for equipment you no longer need! List it on our used gear exchange, make a bit of money, and help a local Ford Sayre family find some new treasures!

Can’t find it online? Shop at the Ford Sayre Ski Sale on Sunday, November 6th. Or even better, volunteer for a shift & shop early at the volunteer sale on Saturday!

USED GEAR: Family-to-family exchange

Check out Ford Sayre’s online used gear exchange. This is a great spot to sell or buy used equipment from other Ford Sayre families – and prices are often ridiculously low!  Check back often to see if new equipment has been posted: Click here to buy or sell.

DARTMOUTH SKI SWAP:

The Dartmouth Ski Team will be hosting their annual Ski Swap this Saturday, October 15. Doors open at 10am, and close at 4pm in the Collis Center. The ski sale has plenty of gear: new and used, alpine and cross country, clothes and accessories. There will be vendors, athletes and coaches on site to help you find what you’re looking for and fit your gear correctly. If you have items you’d like to sell, consignment is Friday evening from 4-7pm (also in the Collis Center). Please note: In past years, the selection of youth cross-country ski equipment has been limited.

Zealand Falls AMC hut trip (February): The date is February 18, 2017. This is not an official Ford Sayre sponsored event, but rather a chance for nordic families to coordinate efforts and create a memorable ski experience in the White Mountains.
