Important Message From the 1 Day a Week Nordic BKL Program: ONLINE REGISTRATION IS OPEN: Registration for all Ford Sayre programs is now open. Please go to the Ford Sayre website and click on Registration. Or, you can CLICK HERE to directly access the registration page. If you have any difficulties, please let me know. Registration deadlines:    SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE: Please be aware that where the need exists, Ford Sayre may grant exemption from payment of program fees. For more information, please contact Program Head, Aricca Van Citters, at BKL.One.Day@FordSayre.org or call her at (603) 643-5670; or contact the Ford Sayre Council Treasurer, Heather Grohbrugge, at Scholarship@FordSayre.org. DARTMOUTH PASSES: Please note that Dartmouth trail passes are NOT required for participation in the 1-Day a week program. However, if your family wishes to purchase a pass to ski on the Dartmouth trails outside of practice, an early bird discounted rate for Ford Sayre Families will be available at $290 if passes are purchased before November 7. Individual junior rates are $70 and adult rates are $125 if purchased before December 15.  Rates increase after those dates. We appreciate your cooperation in supporting our relationship with Dartmouth. Information and the application form are available here. A reminder of upcoming events and of the fact that finding and ordering nordic ski gear can be confusing, frustrating and a hassle, but it is well worth it to have solid gear once the snow falls. For help, start by reading our “Ski Gear” page on the BKL website. We have lots of folks on our team with lots of knowledge on hand. Be patient, take deep breathes and feel free to ask questions.

Oct 7 – Ford Sayre registration opens on-line

A Message From the 2 & 3 Day Nordic BKL Program:

All,

The Ford Sayre Nordic BKL program focuses on the development of young skiers and aspires to teach kids to ski well while having fun and developing a lifelong love of the sport.  For many Ford Sayre skiers this includes participating in races, and for some, ski racing becomes a passion.

For Ford Sayre alum Paddy Caldwell, racing has become such a passion that he has made the decision to pursue it full time as a member of the Stratton Mountain School T2 Team.  Paddy had an outstanding season last year as a sophomore at Dartmouth, posting third place in a race at the National Championships and winning the NCAA skate race.

Watching one of our community members head into this competitive ski world will be exciting and we will be sharing news of Paddy’s ski season periodically on our website or through the Ford Sayre Junior Nordic Team Blog.  You can find his first post of the season here on the JNT blog.

Omer and Bob’s Team Night is coming up on October 5, 6:30-8:30. In our house that means a certain amount of panic and chaos with kids trying on old gear, pulling out dusty skis and poles, and taking count of what we have and what we need. If you are doing that too, read on and let everyone know what you have to offer on the used gear exchange.

USED GEAR!

We have a very good and easy-to-use system for selling/buying used gear. Let’s all use it! I experimented just now and put up 8 items. It took me about 30 minutes including the addition of photos.
