  • Bogburn Cancelled February 17, 2016
    It’s official. The Bogburn has been cancelled. The rain was just too much for the trails there. Here’s to hoping that everyone is finding some way to get outside and have fun. The skating on Lake Morey might be the thing to do. They have a 4.5km loop for nordic skating.   • Bogburn Race Update February 16, 2016

    All,

    The word from Bob Haydock, Bogburn’s host, is not optimistic, but he is waiting until Thurdsay to make the final call. You can go to his Facebook page (below) to see updates and we will let you know what we hear on Thursday, as well. As of now, it is unclear if the race will happen, but keep your fingers crossed!

  • Rikert Race Saturday POSTPONED until Monday 2-15-16 February 12, 2016

    A message from Izzy Caldwell at Rikert:

    Hi All,

    Due to the frigid temperatures this weekend, we have decided to postpone the race until Monday. I think most kids have next week off of school. It will start at 1 pm with the lollipoppers and then go 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8. Here is a link to the google form, I have updated it. Please let me know if you have registered and can no longer come and also please pre-register if you are planning on racing so that we have an idea on numbers.

    I skied at Rikert today and it was GORGEOUS skiing!!!

    See you Monday and I hope this works for everyone!

  • Plan for Friday 2-12-16 February 11, 2016

    INFORMATION FOR THE FRIDAY/3 DAY PROGRAM:

    Location:   Various Upper Valley Locations
    Time:  3:30-4:30
    Technique:  Classic
    Wax Recommendation:  V40 blue
    Upcoming Event/Race:  Stay tuned for more on Rikert. If temps are too low, the race will be postponed.

    NOTES:

    We are going to ski by town tomorrow.

    If your child plans to join one of the groups below, PLEASE send an email to the appropriate coach. 

    Norwich folks please let Peter know if you would like to join him on the Cossingham trails on Happy Hill.  peter@tuckermancapital.com. We will meet at the Milliken’s house at 3:30. 160 Happy Hill Rd. The road is narrow. Please, please drive slowly and thoughtfully. Drive in the driveway and park facing toward the house on the left side of the driveway. Rock skis, waxless skis recommended.

    Lyme folks, email Heidi if you plan to join her at Greens: lange.heidik@gmail.com She will let you know the details by email.

    Hanover kids, Dorcas will take you on an adventure around the less-skied parts of the golf course. Meet her at Garipay at 3:30 and please let her know you plan to join her by emailing: xcdorcas@gmail.com

    Thetford & Other towns – choose which group you’d like to join, just let the coach know:)

    Should be a fun way to get out and explore and ski. Have fun!

    It never ceases to amaze us how much fun we can have on a few inches of snow on grass! Thanks to all the kids and coaches for their awesomeness in the face of less-than-perfect ski conditions on Tuesday. We are hoping it will be a tad bit better tomorrow. Cross your fingers and see you there!
