Introducing an opportunity to build upon the Upper Valley’s rich history of Nordic skiing with improvements to Oak Hill that will serve beginners and racers alike. Together, we can overcome barriers like unreliable snow coverage, short days, a muddy parking lot, and the notoriously difficult Oak Hill terrain. Snowmaking on newly cut trails will provide reliable, accessible ski conditions. Lighting will expand usable hours to better serve after-school and after-work skiers. A yurt will provide a protected place to put on boots or wait for others. A lit, resurfaced parking lot will improve access and safety. The improvements will be funded equally by Dartmouth and the Upper Valley community. Operating responsibility of the center will transition to our community managed non-profit.
