Q. I recently completed SafeSport training for another NGB. Do I have to take it again?
A. No. You only need to have one SafeSport account and can affiliate with as many National Governing Bodies (NGBs) as needed. To receive credit for being SafeSport trained for your U.S. Ski & Snowboard membership, please affiliate with U.S. Ski & Snowboard and enter your U.S. Ski & Snowboard membership number.
Q. When does the training expire?
A. Training is good for one year (365 days) from the date of completion of the last training. However, U.S. Ski & Snowboard manages SafeSport training by membership season.
Q. How long does it take to complete SafeSport Training?
A. The Core Center for SafeSport Training is required once and takes approximately 90 minutes. The Center’s Refresher course is required every season following the completion of the Core Center for SafeSport Training and takes approximately 30 minutes.
Q. How do I know which course to complete? I have multiple options that all say “re-enroll.”
A. You only need to complete ONE SafeSport training per season. Once logged into your SafeSport dashboard, make sure you are in the section “MY COURSES” (not “featured courses”). Once in My Courses, use the drop-down menu (in upper right) to sort by “DUE SOON.” Whether you are due for the full core training or one of the refreshers will depend on which course you completed the prior season. If you are still confused about which course to take, please email the SafeSport desk for help: help.desk@safesport.org.
Q. Is there a way to find out which SafeSport module I last completed?
A. If you have completed SafeSport training in the past, you can see your activity history by going to Profile > My Activity, which will show you the last training you completed. To do so, click the profile icon in the top, right corner, then click on the “My Activity” tab.

Q. What is the SafeSport Code?
A. The SafeSport Code defines the U.S. Center for SafeSport’s authority and jurisdiction, prohibited categories of abuse and misconduct, and the Center’s process for responding to and resolving abuse and misconduct claims affecting the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement.
The Code applies to all Participants (defined within) in the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement, and the Center’s authority related to the Movement derives from federal law. The Code was first introduced March 3, 2017 and is revised periodically. The most recent version became effective April 1, 2022, and can be found HERE.
