Race Weekend Information

Entry Fee: $95 entry fee covers racer lift ticket and race entries for Saturday and Sunday. There is a $40 fee for the Friday Training Day which covers lift ticket. Cash and checks only. Checks should be made payable to Ford Sayre.

Registration Times/Location and Information Desk: Bibs, racer lift tickets, start orders, pre-purchased hoodie sweatshirts, and goodie bags will be available at Registration.

Bibs: Bibs may be picked up at Registration on Friday or at Registration on Saturday. Bibs will be returned at the completion of Saturday’s GS event, in the finish corral, and redistributed to coaches at Saturday afternoon’s Team Captain’s meeting. Bibs must be returned at the finish corral after Sunday’s SL event.
Racer Lift Tickets: Racers will get a ticket for each day. Please make sure to put the ticket on your goggle strap or some other item of clothing you will wear each time you ride the lift. Racers participating in the training day will get tickets for Friday and Saturday on Friday. Racers registering Saturday morning will get their Saturday ticket that morning. Sunday tickets will be distributed by the coaches together with Sunday’s bibs.
Coach Lift Tickets: All racers are entitled to be represented by a coach from their home program. Coach lift tickets are complimentary per the following schedule:

8-12 racers competing | 3 coach lift tickets |
13+ racers competing | 4 coach lift tickets |
Coaches will be able to pick-up a ticket on Friday at Registration on Saturday and Sunday. Coach rosters must be submitted to the Race Coordinator by Wednesday March 8, 2017. Coaches should present USSA and NHARA cards at Registration to pick-up tickets. Additional tickets cost $25.
Racer Family Lift Tickets: Parents and family members can pick up a discount ticket voucher at registration on the day(s) they would like to ski. This will entitle you to purchase a $40 ticket that day. Vouchers will be available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Running Orders: Start lists will be available at Registration the morning of each event. All athletes in the race quota will be divided into seeds of 16. Each seed’s running order will be randomized for the GS event and the SL event.
Live Timing: We will be live streaming to http://ussalivetiming.com/ on race days and results will be posted at the end of each day. The Skiway lodge has free public wifi courtesy of Dartmouth College. Unfortunately, cell phones do not work at the base of either hill.
Scoreboards: Saturday – bottom of Worden’s. Sunday – bottom of Thomas
Awards: Awards will be presented on Sunday following the race with the award ceremony, weather permitting, will be held on the patio at McLane Family Lodge at Dartmouth Skiway. Individual trophies will be presented to the top 3 finishers in each race (Girls GS, Boys GS, Girls SL, Boys SL). The 1st 10 places of each gender will be named as the New Hampshire Team and invited to the Francis Piche Invitational Championship. Team trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams for girls and boys and overall.
Athlete Code of Conduct: All athletes will conduct themselves in conformance with the guidelines presented in the USSA Competition Guide and will respect the Mount Sunapee venue, coaches, officials, race workers and other racers at all times.
Dartmouth Skiway Guidelines: All skis should be stored in ski racks and all bags must be stored in cubbies and away from public walkways and heaters. Follow safe skiing rules and observe slow skiing areas. Alcohol is not permitted outside of the McLane Family Lodge at Dartmouth Skiway. “Tailgating,” including the use of personal grills and barbeques, is not permitted at the Dartmouth Skiway. Please respect all parking regulations and clear the ski drop-off areas quickly.
Race Trail Access: Only athletes, coaches, race officials and credentialed photographers will be allowed on the race course. Please respect the safety of the athletes.
Spectators: Finish area viewing at both the Worden’s Giant Slalom trail and the Thomas Slalom trail are accessible by foot. Both finishes are uphill from the base of the trail.
