Do you have a “favorite memory” from your many years of racing as a Ford Sayre athlete?
One of my many favorite memories as a Ford Sayre athlete was hiking (and getting lost on) the chin at Stowe with our coach after a FIS race!
How do you define success for your athletes?
I would say that success isn’t a measurement determined by results or points, but rather from growth during your time as an athlete, whether that is developing as a skier or as a person!
Best piece of advice you’ve ever been given
Think less; do more. This was something that helped me get past some mental barriers as a ski racer in college. With skiing being a mentally challenging sport, it is always important to not overthink and to believe in yourself.
What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?
Maybe not the most adventurous thing, but I enjoy skinning the skiway in the dark and looking at the stars before skiing down.
What is your favorite non-skiing hobby?
Mountain biking!
What’s your hidden talent?
I can play guitar fairly well, still getting there.
