Congratulations to the many Ford Sayre skiers who participated in this weekend’s Silver Fox Trot race in Hanover. It was wonderful to share in your excitement – and to witness the sense of community that continues to build around the Ford Sayre nordic program!
Thanks go out to everyone who helped make the event possible. Many, many families volunteered time – some hours, some days – to pull it off. Watching everyone put up the event, run it, and take it down with smiles on everyone’s faces was a spectacular thing. We would like to give enormous thanks to Lou Bregou, our Race Director. Lou spends many months preparing with his teams for this event. It is a herculean task, and he pulled if off beautifully once again! Thank you, Lou.
We hope you all enjoy this week of vacation and rest. Please remember that we will not hold practices this coming week since it is vacation week for the Dresden school district. We’ll see everyone again on Tuesday, February 24, and will wrap up our regular season on Tuesday, March 3. Please also mark your calendars for an end-of-year potluck celebration on the evening of Friday, March 13 at the Richard W. Black Recreation & Senior Center in Hanover (more details to come).
